Inspired by the hugely popular Cornish Dream Chocolates
Clotted Cream Toffee was born from the runaway success of Cornish Dream, our limited‑edition fresh chocolate made with Rodda’s Cornish Clotted Cream. After Cornish Dream sold out, customers kept asking us to bring it back – and to make more fresh clotted cream chocolates in the same luxuriously creamy, fridge‑worthy style – so we set out to create the most indulgent clotted cream chocolate yet.
Steve is a nightmare on prioritising taste over cost
To do that, Steve has quite literally spared no expense on the ingredients: proper Rodda’s Cornish Clotted Cream, lusciously soft toffee and oak‑smoked Dorset Sea Salt, all wrapped in deeply rich, velvety‑smooth milk chocolate. Giles slightly despairs at the ingredient bills… but even he admits the end result is worth every penny when he “samples” yet another pouch.

It’s probably the naughtiest, most scrumptious chocolate we’ve ever made – so rich, so creamy and so dangerously easy to eat “just one more”.
Why Cornish Clotted Cream is so yummy
Rodda’s cream is so rich because it starts with incredibly lush Cornish pasture, not a factory formula. Cornwall’s mild, damp, almost subtropical climate means the grass grows for more of the year, stays greener and is naturally higher in butterfat‑boosting goodness for the cows. Those grass‑grazing herds produce milk with a naturally higher butterfat content and more beta‑carotene, which is why Rodda’s clotted cream tastes extra thick and luxurious and has that beautiful golden hue. In other words, the richness is baked in from the fields upwards – you’re tasting what the cows have been happily munching on all year.
